Elton completed his medical training at UCL Medical School and undertook his junior doctor training in the Midlands and London, before qualifying as a GP. He has a special interest in Sport and Exercise Medicine and is a Member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (MFSEM).
Elton is currently Team Doctor for the GB Masters Basketball programme and has worked as a Team GB Doctor at the World University Games (Germany, 2025). He has also provided matchday medical cover for Saracens Academy and at major sporting events including the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 and the annual London Marathon.
He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health and a Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine, with a strong interest in the holistic care of athletes. His academic work has focused on the mental health and wellbeing of elite British basketball players. Outside of clinical practice, Elton continues to be an avid basketball player.
