Ben is a School Physiotherapist at Meliora Medical and works primarily in sports physiotherapy, with particular interests in musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation, concussion and pre-hospital trauma.
He has experience across school, representative and sevens rugby. His current roles include physiotherapist with Clan Taran Women through Ultimate Sevens, Head Physiotherapist for England Rugby London & South East U20s, and Head Physiotherapist for White Hart Marauders Sevens. He previously worked with Worcester Warriors as a casual physiotherapist.
Ben initially trained in sports therapy, completing a BSc (Hons) at the University of Worcester, before undertaking an MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Gloucestershire.
Alongside his clinical work, Ben has a particular academic interest in concussion and the longer-term effects of repetitive head impacts. He is currently collaborating with the Concussion & CTE Foundation and the Professional Footballers’ Association to develop further research building on his previous work in this area.
His clinical interests centre on helping athletes recover from injury and return safely to sport, combining rehabilitation expertise with an understanding of the demands of competitive sport and pitch-side care.
