At Meliora Medical, we are seeking highly motivated and experienced pitch-side therapists to support our match-day medical services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of pitch-side clinicians, working with the UK’s leading independent schools. You’ll provide high-quality immediate care to pupils during sporting fixtures, while working closely with coaches and school medical staff.
Locations: London, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire.
Hours: Adhoc. Predominantly Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Pay: £50+ p/ hour
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate clinical records and incident reports
- To provide best in class pitch-side medical cover for school fixtures
- Assessment, management, and treatment of acute injuries and medical emergencies
- To liaise with coaching staff and parents regarding Meliora’s onward care pathways
- To represent Meliora and uphold our expected standards
Essential Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
- UK degree qualified physiotherapist, sports therapist or sports rehabilitator
- Current professional registration with a relevant governing body (e.g. CSP, SST, BASRaT, HCPC)
- Proven experience providing pitch-side care to adolescents in an elite sport and/or school environment
- Pre-hospital care qualification (minimum iTMMiF, PHICIS Level 2, or equivalent)
- Valid Safeguarding Children certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Registered with the DBS Update Service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and decision-making skills under pressure
